<br />, <br /> <br />CITY OF RIVERSIDE <br /> <br />REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY MEMORANDUM <br /> <br />Honorable Mayor & Agency Members <br /> <br />Date: <br />Item No.: <br /> <br />February 20, 2001 <br />2 <br /> <br />Subject: <br /> <br />Request Approval oCthe CDBG Housiug Rehabilitation Loans and Grants <br />(Northside and Citywide Areas Only) <br /> <br />Background <br /> <br />In accordance with the provisions of their contract, the Riverside Housing Development Corporation (RHDC) has <br />determined that the following applicant(s) is/are eligible to participate in the CDBG Housing Rehabilitation <br />Loan/Grant Programs. This/these applicant(s) is/are as follows: <br /> <br />13 002 <br /> <br />Maria Gonzalez <br /> <br />3741 Lofton Place <br /> <br />NS Deferred Loan <br /> <br />$32,822 <br /> <br />Funds will be used to bring electrical and plumbing up to code, address termite deficiencies, paint exterior, install <br />new flooring at kitchen and bathroom, remodel kitchen and bathroom, remove lead containing ceramic tile, install <br />garage door, replace roof, and replace all windows. Residence was tested for Lead,Based Paint, which was found <br />only in ceramic tiles in the bathroom and kitchen, which are being abated by a Certified Contractor. Owner has <br />lived at property for one year and received an emergency grant in November 2000 in the amount of $2,1 78.00 to <br />correct a raw sewage leak. Yard is landscaped and well maintained. <br /> <br />13015 Maricruz Looney 7828 Evans Street CW Emergency Grant $1,738 <br /> <br />Funds will be used to make emergency repairs to the heating system because family is without heat. No Lead, <br />Based Paint inspection is required because the home was built after 1978. Owner has lived at property for 6 years <br />and has no prior grant or loan history. Yard is landscaped and well maintained. "Owner is related to a RHDC <br />staff member. He did not participate in the review or underwriting of the file and it has been assigned to an <br />alternate staff member. File has also been reviewed by City staff and approved for repairs. <br /> <br />12083 <br /> <br />June Rinker <br /> <br />6418 Rhonda Road <br /> <br />CW Senior Grant <br />CW Deferred Loan <br /> <br />$5,000 <br />$8,000 <br /> <br />Funds will be used to replace both entry doors, bring electrical and plumbing up to code, address termite <br />deficiencies, paint exterior, install new furnace, replace countertops and kitchen sink with faucet, install new <br />flooring at kitchen and bathroom, and install a spark arrestor. Residence was tested and found to be clear of any <br />Lead,Based Paint. Owner has lived at property for 25 years and has no prior grant or loan history.
