I RESOLUTION 1~o. 19828 <br /> <br /> 2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE, <br /> CALIFORNIA, ESTABLISHING THE MADISON STREET UNDERGROUND <br /> 3 UTILITY DISTRICT NO. 5. <br /> <br />4 WHEREAS, in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 14.24 of the Riverside <br />5 Municipal Code, a public hearing was held on January 9, 2000, at the hour of 2:00 p.m., in the <br />6 Council Chambers of the City Hall, 3900 Main Street, Riverside, California, to ascertain whether <br />7 the public necessity, health, safety, or welfare requires the removal of poles, overhead wires and <br />8 associated overhead structures, and the underground installation of wires and facilities for <br />9 supplying electric, communication, or similar or associated service by means of electrical materials <br />10 or devices, within that certain area of the City described as follows: beginning on the centerlines of <br />11 Madison Street and Victoria Avenue and extending along Madison Street north and including one <br />12 hundred feet beyond the street right-of-way on each side of Madison Street to centerlines of <br />13 Lincoln Street; and centerlines of Madison Street and Evans Street north to centerlines of Madison <br />14 Street and Indiana Street and including one hundred feet beyond the street right-of way on each <br />15 side of Madison Street to the intersection of Indiana Avenue as indicated on the attached map <br />16 marked Exhibit "A" which is incorporated and made a part hereof' by this reference; and <br />17 WHEREAS, notice of the time and place of such hearing has been given to all affected <br />18 property owners as such are shown on the last equalized assessment roll and to all utilities <br />19 concerned, in the manner and within the time required by law; and <br />20 WHEREAS, such hearing has been duly and regularly held, and all persons interested have <br />21 been given an opportunity to be heard; <br />22 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Riverside, <br />23 California as follows: <br />24 Section 1: That pursuant to Chapter 14.24 of the Municipal Code of the City of Riverside, <br />25 the area depicted and described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and incorporated herein by this <br />26 reference, is hereby declared an Underground Utility District, and is designated as Madison Street <br />27 Underground Utility District No. 5 of the City of Riverside ("District").
