1 <br /> <br /> 2 <br /> <br /> 3 <br /> <br /> 4 <br /> <br /> 5 <br /> <br /> 6 <br /> <br /> 7 <br /> <br /> 8 <br /> <br /> 9 <br /> <br />10 <br /> <br />11 <br /> <br />12 <br /> <br />13 <br /> <br />14 <br /> <br />15 <br /> <br />16 <br /> <br />17 <br /> <br />18 <br /> <br />19 <br /> <br />20 <br /> <br />21 <br /> <br />22 <br /> <br />23 <br /> <br />24 <br /> <br />25 <br /> <br />26 <br /> <br />27 <br /> <br />City Attorney's Office <br />3900 Main Street <br />Riverside, CA 92522 <br />(909) 782-5567 <br /> <br /> FIRST AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT FOR <br /> PROFESSIONAL CONSULTING SERVICES <br /> <br /> (Archaeological Consulting Services) <br /> (Archaeological Mitigation Services-Schacker & Jimenez Building) <br /> <br /> THIS FIRST AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT is made and entered into this 3rd day of <br />November, 2000, by and between the REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY FOR THE CITY <br />OF RIVERSIDE, a public entity, hereinafter referred to as "Agency", and ARCHAEOLOGICAL <br />CONSULTING SERVICES, hereinafter referred to as "Consultant". <br /> <br /> RECITALS: <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Agency and the Consultant entered into a Professional Services <br />Agreement for Archaeological Mitigation Services at the Schacker & Jimenez Buildings, dated <br />July 25, 2000, ("Archaeological Agreement") to provide consulting services and advice on various <br />issues related to the monitoring of demolition, identification, evaluation and date recovery of sub- <br />surface archaeological resources of two sites, the Schacker Building located at 3570 9th Street <br />("Schacker Lot") and the Jimenez building at 3940 Orange Street ("Jimenez Lot") within the City <br />of Riverside. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Consultant has requested additional funds to provide archaeological <br />excavation at the Schacker Lot and the Jimenez Lot; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Consultant has requested additional funds to prepare a professional report <br />documenting Consultant's monitoring and identification of archaeological sites at the Schacker Lot <br />and the Jimenez Lot; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Agency has authorized additional funds in the total amount of five <br />thousand dollars ($5,000) for additional services specified as follows: <br /> <br /> (a) Archaeological excavation of the Schacker Lot and Jimenez Lot for an amount not to <br />exceed one thousand dollars ($1,000.) to be completed within 14 calendar days after Consultant's <br />receipt of the executed Amendment to the Archaeological Agreement. <br /> <br />(b) Preparation of a professional report documenting Consultant's monitoring and <br />identification of archaeological sites at the Schacker Lot and the Jimenez Lot for an amount not to <br /> <br /> <br />
