RESOLUTION NO. 629 <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY <br /> OF RIVERSIDE RECEIVING THE PRELIMINARY PLAN FOR THE <br /> PROPOSED MAGNOLIA CENTER REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT; <br /> ESTABLISHING THE BASE YEAR ASSESSMENT ROLL FOR THE <br /> PROPOSED PROJECT; AUTHORIZING THE TRANSMITTAL OF A <br /> MAP, BOUNDARY DESCRIPTION, AND A STATEMENT TO TAXING <br /> OFFICIALS AND AGENCIES; AND AUTHORIZING PAYMENT OF A <br /> FILING FEE TO THE STATE BOARD OF EQUALIZATION <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Redevelopment Agency of the City of Riverside is proposing to <br />create the Magnolia Center Redevelopment Project; and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Riverside was directed by the <br />Riverside City Council to select the boundaries of the Project Area from within the Survey <br />Area designated by the City Council, and to formulate the Preliminary Plan for the <br />redevelopment of the Project Area selected; and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on November 6, 1997, the Planning Commission, in cooperation with <br />the Redevelopment Agency and the City Council, designated the boundaries of the Project <br />Area and adopted the Preliminary Plan for the redevelopment of said Project Area; and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Section 33327 of the California Community Redevelopment Law <br />(Health and Safety Code Section 33000 et seq.) provides that the Agency shall transmit to <br />certain taxing officials and agencies, and the State Board of Equalization, a map and <br />description of the boundaries of the Project Area selected by the Planning Commission, <br />together with a statement that a plan for the redevelopment of the area is being prepared; <br />and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Section 33328 of the Community Redevelopment Law requires the <br />Agency to advise such taxing officials and agencies of the base year assessment roll the <br />Agency proposes to use for the allocation of taxes pursuant to Section 33670 of the <br />Community Redevelopment Law. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the Riverside <br />Redevelopment Agency as follows: <br /> <br /> SECTION 1: The Prehminery Plan for the proposed Magnolia Center <br />Redevelopment Project Area, as formulated by the Planning Commission of the City of <br />Riverside, and as attached hereto as Exhibit "A", is hereby received. <br /> <br /> SECTION 2: The assessment roll last equalized on August 20, 1997, is the <br />assessment roll the Agency proposes to use for the allocation of taxes to the Magnolia <br />Center Redevelopment Project. <br /> <br /> <br />
