R.A. "Barney" <br />Barnett spoke regarding a Highgrove Metrolink Station. Ofelia Valdez - <br />Yeager and Collette Lee spoke regarding School for the Arts funding. Vivian <br />Moreno spoke regarding School for the Arts funding and City Council <br />meeting decorum. Audella Patterson spoke regarding Bobby Bonds Day. <br />WORKSHOP <br />FISCAL YEAR 2014-15 MID -YEAR BUDGET REPORT - SUPPLEMENTAL <br />APPROPRIATIONS <br />Following discussion, the City Council (1) received and ordered filed the <br />mid -year budget report for Fiscal Year 2014-15; (2) authorized supplemental <br />appropriations totaling $4,100,000 from the unappropriated balance of the <br />General Fund as follows (a) $4,000,000 to an account to be assigned by the <br />Finance Department to reflect an accounting adjustment required to account <br />for expenditures associated with the Convention Center management <br />contract; (b) $50,000 to an account to be assigned by the Finance <br />Department for additional materials for the Riverside Public Library; and <br />(c) $50,000 to an account to be assigned by the Finance Department for <br />additional funding for the Riverside School for the Arts; and (3) authorized <br />Motion <br />X <br />an increase in estimated General Fund revenue of $4,300,000 to reflect <br />Second <br />X <br />offsetting revenues related to the Convention Center management contract. <br />Ayes <br />X <br />X <br />X <br />X <br />X <br />X <br />X <br />Councilmember Melendrez disqualified himself from voting on the Riverside <br />Disqualified, <br />Public Library funding as he owns property within 500 feet of the Library. <br />in part <br />X <br />Councilmember Davis requested referral of a plan to retain and augment the <br />reserve fund as appropriate to the City Council Finance Committee. <br />Councilmember Melendrez requested referral of a report on progress and <br />work to be done on the School for the Arts to the City Council Community <br />Services and Youth Committee. <br />DISCUSSION CALENDAR <br />2015 STATE AND FEDERAL LEGISLATIVE PLATFORM <br />Following discussion, the City Council (1) approved the 2015 State and <br />Federal Legislative Platform; and (2) directed staff to coordinate with the <br />100-214 <br />
