VC-002-978 1 RESOLUTION NO. 19215 2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE, CALIFORNIA, MAKING ITS FINDINGS AND 3 DETERMINATIONS IN THE MATTER OF RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO. 19205; RESERVING A PERMANENT 4 EASEMENT AND RIGHT-OF-WAY FOR PUBLIC UTILITIES PURPOSES AND DETERMINING THAT THE PUBLIC 5 CONVENIENCE AND NECESSITY REQUIRE THE RESERVATION OF SUCH EASEMENT; AND MAKING ITS 6 ORDER VACATING THE APPROXIMATELY 10-FOOT WIDE BY 7-FOOT LONG PEDESTRIAN WALKWAY SITUATED 7 BETWEEN HERMITAGE LANE AND VAN BUREN BOULEVARD. 8 WHEREAS, on December 16, 1997, the City Council of the 9 City of Riverside in Vacation Case No. VC-002-978 adopted 10 Resolution No. 19205 declaring its intention to order the vacation 11 of the approximately 10-foot wide by 7-foot long pedestrian 12 walkway situated between Hermitage Lane and Van Buren Boulevard 13 within the City of Riverside, California, and fixing the time and 14 place of hearing all persons interested in the proposed vacation 15 pursuant to the provisions of the Public Streets, Highways and 16 Service Easements Vacation Law, being Sections 8300 et seq. of 17 Part 3, Division 9 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State 18 of California; and 19 WHEREAS, said proposed vacation had been previously 20 submitted to and considered by the Planning Commission of the City 21 of Riverside at a duly noticed public hearing; and 22 WHEREAS, following the close of the public hearing before 23 the Planning Commission, the Planning Commission determined that 24 the proposed project would not have a significant adverse affect 25 on the environment and that the City Council should adopt a 26 Negative Declaration, and that Vacation Case VC-002-978 should be 27 approved subject to all staff conditions; and A~orney's O~ce Street CA 92522 782-5557 F:kWPDATAkRESk97225402.BP
