Agenda Items <br />Unexcused Absence: <br />Departmental Presentation — Brenda Diederichs, Human Resources Director <br />• Human Resources Director Brenda Diederichs introduced the Human Resources Team Leaders to the <br />Board. <br />• Each staff member stated their name, title and gave the Board a PowerPoint Presentation synopsis of <br />their division's high level functionalities. <br />2. Review of Human Resources Personnel Policies and Procedures — Miriana Gonzalez, Principal <br />Human Resources Analyst <br />• Principal Human Resources Analyst Miriana Gonzalez presented the Board with one (1) policy for <br />review and approval. The policy presented was Health/Vision and Dental (V -9). <br />• Chair Norman Powell asked Principal Human Resources Analyst Miriana Gonzalez for the definition of <br />a "retired employee." Ms. Gonzalez responded and indicated that a retired employee is an employee <br />who has officially retired from the CalPERS system. <br />• The Human Resources Board requested a minor change within policy (V -9). <br />• Vice Chair Art Butler motioned to approve the policy as revised with a second by Board Member Sonya <br />Dew.
