<br />6 <br />7 <br />8 <br />9 <br />10 <br />11 <br />12 <br />13 <br /> <br />14 <br /> <br />15 <br /> <br />16 <br /> <br />17 <br />18 <br />19 <br />20 <br />21 <br />22 <br />23 <br />24 <br />25 <br />26 <br /> <br />27 <br /> <br />28 <br /> <br />29 <br /> <br />30 <br /> <br />31 <br /> <br />32 <br /> <br />CITY ATTORNEY <br />RIVERSIDE <br />CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 14875 <br /> <br />2 <br />3 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RIVERSIDE, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING THE TERMS AND <br />CONDITIONS OF THE AMENDATORY POWER SALES CONTRACT <br />BETWEEN INTERMOUNTAIN POWER AGENCY AND THE CITY <br />OF RIVERSIDE AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY <br />CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID AGREEMENT. <br /> <br />4 <br /> <br />5 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Riverside has executed a Power <br /> <br />Sales Contract with the Intermountain Power Agency which provides <br /> <br />that the City of Riverside shall have a 6.817% participation <br /> <br />in the costs and benefits of a four unit 3000 mw coal-fired <br /> <br />generation plant and associated facilities in the State of <br /> <br />utah known as the Intermountain Power Project, to be owned, <br /> <br />financed, constructed, operated and maintained by the Inter- <br /> <br />mountain Power Agency; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Utah participants in the Intermountain <br /> <br />Power Project have determined that the plant size should be <br /> <br />reduced from 4 units to 2 units with a total capacity of <br /> <br />1500 mw; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, reducing the project size to 1500 mw is also <br /> <br />beneficial to the city of Riverside due to reduced load growth <br /> <br />in the City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Amendatory Power Sales Contract dated <br /> <br />February 1, 1983, to be entered into by all project participants, <br /> <br />provides for reduction in size of the generating station from <br /> <br />3000 mw to 1500 mw along with other beneficial provisions; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of <br /> <br />the City of Riverside that the terms and conditions of the <br /> <br />Amendatory Power Sales Contract between Intermountain Power <br /> <br />Agency and the City of Riverside be and the same are hereby <br /> <br />approved. <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk <br /> <br />are authorized and directed to execute said Amendatory Power Sales <br /> <br />Contract by and on behalf of the City of Riverside. <br />
