<br />1 RESOLUTION NO. 14869 <br /> <br />2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RIVERSIDE, CALIFORNIA, DECLARING ITS INTENT TO <br />3 ADOPT A RESOLUTION OF NECESSITY RELATING TO THE <br />ACQUISITION OF PROPERTIES IN THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE, <br />4 CALIFORNIA, BY EMINENT DO~~IN FOR THE PROPOSED <br />WIDENING AND IMPROVEMENT OF VAN BUREN BOULEVARD <br />5 BETWEEN FROM CALIFORNIA AVENUE TO 900 FEET NORTHERLY <br />OF PHILBIN AVENUE; FIXING THE TIME AND PLACE FOR <br />6 HEARING ON THIS RESOLUTION; AND DIRECTING THE CITY <br />CLERK TO GIVE NOTICE OF THIS INTENDED ACQUISITION <br />7 AND OF THE PUBLIC HEARING AS REQUIRED BY LAW. <br /> <br />8 IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of <br /> <br />9 Riverside, California, pursuant to the Eminent Domain Law of the <br /> <br />10 State of California, being Title 7 of Part 3 of the Code of Civil <br />11 Procedure (commencing with Section 1230.010) and pursuant to the <br />12 Charter of the City of Riverside as follows: <br /> <br />13 <br /> <br />Section 1: It is the intention of the City Council of <br /> <br />14 the City of Riverside to acquire by eminent domain the fee <br />15 simple or lesser interests in certain real property within the <br />16 City of Riverside for the purpose of widening and improving Van <br />17 Buren Boulevard between California Avenue to 900 feet northerly. <br />18 of Philbin Avenue as has been proposed to said City Council. <br /> <br />19 <br /> <br />20 <br />21 <br />22 <br />23 <br />24 <br />25 <br /> <br />26 <br /> <br />27 <br />28 <br /> <br />29 <br />30 <br /> <br />31 <br />1/18/83 <br />BP/jm 32 <br /> <br />CITY ATTORNEY <br />RIVERSIDE <br />CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />Section 2: The parcels of land which would be affected <br /> <br />by the intention of the City Council to acquire the fee simple <br /> <br />or other interest over portions thereof by eminent domain are <br /> <br />located in the City of Riverside, County of Riverside, State of <br /> <br />California, and are described as follows: <br /> <br />Parcel 5 <br /> <br />That portion of the North 355 feet of the North <br />1/2 of the East 1/2 of the Southeast 1/4 of Section 1, <br />Township 3 South, Range 6 West, in the County of <br />Riverside, State of California, as shown by Sectional- <br />ized Survey of the Rancho La Sierra as shown by Map <br />on file in Book 6, page 70 of Maps, Records of <br />Riverside County, California, described as follows: <br /> <br />BEGINNING at the East 1/4 corner of the aforemen- <br />tioned Section 1, said point being also on the centerline <br />of Van Buren Boulevard; <br />THENCE along the centerline of Van Buren Boulevard, <br />South 00 17' 40", 1495.91 feet to the intersection of <br />the centerline of Colorado Street as shown by Map of <br />Arlington Suburban Estates as shown by Map on file in <br />
