VERNON <br />AVENUE. <br /> <br />WHEREAS on December 7, 198?, tl},e City Council of the <br /> <br />City of Riverside adopted Resolution No. 14840 declaring its <br /> <br />intention to order the vacation of a portion of Massachusetts <br /> <br />Avenue right-of-way located approximately 535 feet easterly of <br /> <br />Valencia Hills prive and approximately 260 feet westerly of <br /> <br />Mt. Vernon Avenue, and fixing the time and place of hearing <br /> <br />all persons interested in the proposed vacation, pursuant to <br /> <br />the provisions of the Public Streets, Highways, and Service <br /> <br />Easements Vacation Law, being Sections 8300 et seq. of Part 3, <br /> <br />Division 9 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of <br /> <br />California; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS said proposed vacation was submitted to and <br /> <br />acted upon by the Planning Commission of the City of Riverside <br /> <br />and notice of hearing said resolution was given as provided by <br /> <br />said Public Streets, Highways, and Service Easements Vacation <br /> <br />Law; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS on the day fixed for the hearing the City Council <br /> <br />heard and found and hereby finds from all of the evidence sub- <br /> <br />mitted that the portion of Massachusetts Avenue right-of-way <br /> <br />in the City of Riverside, County of Riverside, State of California, <br /> <br />described in the document attached hereto, marked Exhibit A, <br /> <br />and by this reference made a part hereof, be and the same is <br /> <br />hereby vacated. <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council does <br /> <br />hereby determine that the public convenience and necessity <br />
