CA 92522 <br />(909) 782-5567 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 13979 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDlE, <br />CALIFORNIA, MODIFYING THE CULTURAL HERITAGE BOARD'S <br />DESIGNATION OF SEVENTH STREET LANDMARK NO. 40 IN ACCORDANCE <br />WITH AN APPEAL BY RICHARD T. BROWN. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, in December, 1979, the Cultural Heritage Board presented to the City <br />Council of the City of Riverside a list of properties to be included within Cultural Heritage Board <br />Landmark #40 - Seventh Street; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, an appeal was filed by Richard T, Brown, President, Brown Development <br />Corp., from the decision of the Cultural Heritage Board in designating certain properties; in the <br />Downtown area as Cultural Heritage Seventh Street Landmark No. 40, requesting exclusion of the <br />property bounded by Fifth Street, Seventh Street, Lime Street and the Riverside Freeway from said <br />designation; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the appeal was set for public hearing before the City Council, having been <br />continued from December 26, 1979, and was held on January 8, 1980; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Riverside, <br />California, as follows: <br /> <br /> The City Council denied the appeal of the Richard T. Brown, President, Brown <br />Development Corp., in part, as to the Citrus Exchange Building, there by including it within the <br />Landmark #40 (Seventh Street) designation, and granted the appeal as to the house on the Poole <br />property, but denied the appeal on the real property itself, thereby including it within the Landmark <br />#40 (Seventh Street) designation, and granted the appeal as it relates to the Lincoln School, thereby <br />not including it within the Landmark #40 (Seventh Street) designation. <br /> <br /> // <br /> <br /> // <br /> // <br /> // <br /> // <br /> <br />Note: <br /> <br />Ronald Loveridge was not Mayor on <br />1-8-80.
