I RESOLUTION NO. 22539 2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE, CALIFORNIA, RECITING THE FACT OF THE 3 GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION HELD IN SAID CITY ON THE 4th DAY OF JUNE, 2013, DECLARING THE RESULTS 4 THEREOF AND SETTING FORTH SUCH OTHER MATTERS AS ARE PROVIDED BY LAW. 5 6 WHEREAS, a General Municipal Election was held and conducted in the City of 7 Riverside on the 4th day of June, 2013, as required by law for the purpose of electing members 8 of the City Council for Wards 2, 3, 4 and 6 and voting on Measure A—Riverside Local Services 9 and Clean Water Measure, a general tax designated as "Measure A"; and 10 WHEREAS, notice of said election was duly and regularly given in the time, form and 11 manner as provided by law; voting precincts were properly established; election officers were 12 appointed and in all respects said election was held and the returns made and declared in the 13 time, form, and manner as required by the provisions of the Charter of the City of Riverside and 14 the Elections Code of the State of California for the holding of elections in the City of Riverside; 15 and 16 WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 22490 adopted on the 15th day of January, 2013, 17 and Resolution No. 22503 adopted on March 5, 2013, the appropriate County official canvassed 18 the returns of said election and has certified the results to this City Council and said results are 19 received, attached, and made a part hereof as Exhibit "A". 20 NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Riverside, as 21 follows: 22 Section. 1: That there were seven (7) voting precincts in the Second Ward; seven (7) 23 voting precincts in the Third Ward; seven (7) voting precincts in the Fourth Ward; six (6) voting 24 precincts in the Sixth Ward; and forty-six (46) voting precincts citywide. 25 Section 2: That said General Municipal election was held for the purpose of electing four 26 (4) members of the City Council of the City of Riverside from Wards 2, 3, 4 and 6 of the City of 27 Riverside as established by the City Council, 28 Section 3: That said General Municipal election was held for the purpose of submitting CRY MTORNWS OFFICE 3900 N� STREET A 92521 ((951)826-5567 G:\DEPTCOM?VbN\COUNCIL\RESOLUTIONS\06-18-13\ELECTION RFSUUfS.D0C
