<br />City Attorney's Office <br />3900 Main Street <br />Riverside, CA 92522 <br />(909) 782-5567 <br /> <br />1 <br /> <br />AGREEMENT FOR PROFESSIONAL <br />CONSULTANT SERVICES <br /> <br />2 <br /> <br />3 <br /> <br />Town Square Federal Financing Assistance <br />Mark Briggs & Associates <br /> <br />4 <br /> <br />THIS AGREEMENT is made and entered into this 6th day of <br />, 1997, by and between the REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY FOR THE <br /> <br />5 <br /> <br />Hay <br /> <br />6 CITY OF RIVERSIDE, a public entity hereinafter referred to as <br />7 IIAgency,1I and MARK BRIGGS & ASSOCIATES, INC., a California <br /> <br />8 Corporation, address 505 North Tustin Avenue, Suite 115, Santa <br /> <br />9 Ana, California 92705, hereinafter referred to as IIConsultant." <br /> <br />10 RECITALS: <br /> <br />11 <br /> <br />A. <br /> <br />Consultant is a professional consultant, experienced <br /> <br />12 in providing economic analysis, financial services and <br /> <br />13 evaluation of funding sources to public clients and is familiar <br /> <br />14 with the plans of the Agency. <br /> <br />15 <br /> <br />B. Agency desires to engage Consultant to render <br /> <br />16 certain consulting services relating to the processing of a HUD <br /> <br />17 Section 108 loan application and other federal financing <br /> <br />18 assistance for the Town Square Project as set forth herein. <br /> <br />19 NOW, THEREFORE, Agency and Consultant agree as follows: <br /> <br />20 <br /> <br />1. Retention of Consultant. Agency retains Consultant <br /> <br />21 to perform, and Consultant agrees to render, those services <br /> <br />22 (hereinafter "the services") defined in Exhibit "A" attached <br /> <br />23 hereto and incorporated herein by this reference in accordance <br /> <br />24 with the terms and conditions set forth herein. The services <br /> <br />25 shall be rendered to the Agency on an "as requested" basis. <br /> <br />26 <br /> <br />2. <br /> <br />Standard of Performance.
