Thirty-six people spoke on <br />the matter. Following discussion and without formal motion, the City Council <br />continued the public hearing to 6:30 p.m. to permit public comments for <br />persons unable to attend the afternoon hearing. <br />RECESS <br />The City Council recessed at 3:22 p.m. and reconvened at 6:15 p.m. in the Art <br />Pick Council Chamber with Mayor Bailey presiding and all Councilmembers <br />present. <br />X <br />X <br />TRANSPORTATION BOARD <br />Chair Crista Curtis presented a report on the activities of the Transportation <br />Board. Following the presentation and without formal motion, the City Council <br />(1) received and ordered filed the report; and (2) thanked Ms. Curtis for the <br />presentation. <br />Invocation was given by Councilmember Hart. <br />The Pledge of Allegiance was given to the flag. <br />PRESENTATIONS <br />Rose Mayes and the Fair Housing Council remembered the victims of the <br />Sandy Hook Elementary School tragedy in Newtown, Connecticut. <br />98-152 <br />
