PUBLIC HEARING CASE P12-0078 - RIVERSIDE AUTO CENTER SPECIFIC PLAN - RESOLUTION Hearing was called to consider the proposal by the City of Riverside to amend the Riverside Auto Center Specific Plan to clarify the sign provisions related to building mounted logos and revising provisions for freestanding freeway oriented signs to facilitate the removal and replacement of an existing 75 -foot high freeway oriented sign within the Auto Center Specific Plan area, generally bounded by Madison Street on the north, AT&SF Railroad on the east, Monroe Street on the south, and State Route 91 on the west. Six people spoke on the matter. No written protests were received. The public hearing was officially closed. Following discussion, the City Council (1) determined that the proposed project is exempt from California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) review pursuant to Section 15061(b)(3); (2) approved Case P12-0078 based on and subject to the Planning Commission findings as outlined in the staff report; and (3) adopted the Specific Plan resolution; whereupon, the title having been read and further reading waived, Resolution No. 22480 of the City Council of the City of Riverside, California to Amend the Riverside Auto Center Specific Plan to Clarify the Sign Provisions Related to Building Mounted Logos and Revise Motion X the Provision for Freestanding Freeway Oriented Signs, was presented and Second X adopted. All Ayes DISCUSSION CALENDAR NOVEMBER 6, 2012, SPECIAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION CANVASS - RESOLUTION Following discussion, the City Council adopted a resolution reciting the results of the special municipal election held on November 6, 2012, and declaring the results; whereupon, the title having been read and further reading waived, Resolution No. 22481 of the City Council of the City of Riverside, California, Reciting the Fact of the Special Municipal Election Held in Said City on the 6th Day of November, 2012, Declaring the Results Motion X Thereof and Setting Forth Such Other Matters as are Provided by Law, was Second X presented and adopted.
