CITY OF RIVERSIDE <br /> REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY MEMORANDUM <br /> <br />Honorable Mayor & Agency Members <br /> <br /> Date: May 16, 2000 <br />Item No.: -* 3 <br /> <br />Subject: Request Approval of the CDBG Housing Rehabilitation Loans and Grants <br /> (Arlanza/La Sierra and Citywide Areas) <br /> <br />Background <br /> <br />In accordance with the provisions of their contract, the Riverside Housing Development Corporation (RHDC) has <br />determined that the following applicants are eligible to participate in the CDBG Housing Rehabilitation <br />Loan/Grant Programs. These applicants are as follows: <br /> <br />12 026 Betty J. Clayton 6842 Palos Drive (03) ALS G $5,000.00 <br /> ALS R/L $7,000.00 <br /> <br />Funds will be used to repair fencing, up-grade electrical, repair roof, install garage door, paint exterior and <br />interior, install smoke detectors and GFI's, repair two cracks in slab, and up-grade both bathrooms. Owner has <br />lived at property for 4 years and received no prior assistance. Yard is landscaped and maintained. <br /> <br />12 056 Abraham & Muriel Schwartz 850 Via Sierra Nevada (07) CW HA/G $5,000.00 <br /> <br />Funds will be used to install handrails on stairway, grab bars and handicap toilets in both bathrooms, replace <br />interior doorknobs, install "rolling" shelves in kitchen, and replace light switches. Owner has lived at property for <br />11 years and received no prior assistance. <br /> <br />Fiscal Impact <br /> <br />Funds and amounts required for the above loans are available in the following Community Development Block <br />Grant Funds: Citywide Handicap Accessibility Grant Funds, 2835100-453020, $5,000.00; ArlanzaJLa Sierra <br />Housing Rehab, 2835100-453501, $12,000.00. <br /> <br />Recommendations <br /> <br />That the Redevelopment Agency approves the Rehabilitation Grants and Loans as described above. <br /> <br />~McLaughlin <br /> Redevelopment Coordinator <br /> <br />Approved by: <br /> <br />Executive Director <br /> <br />3-1 <br /> <br /> <br />
