I RESOLUTION NO. 2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE, CALIFORNIA, RECITING THE FACT OF THE 3 SPECIAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION HELD IN SAID CITY ON THE 6th DAY OF NOVEMBER, 2012, DECLARING THE RESULTS 4 THEREOF AND SETTING FORTH SUCH OTHER MATTERS AS ARE PROVIDED BY LAW. 5 6 WHEREAS, a Special Municipal Election was held and conducted in the City of 7 Riverside on the 6th day of November, 2012, as required by law for the purpose of electing a 8 Mayor; and 9 WHEREAS, notice of said election was duly and regularly given in the time, form and 10 manner as provided by law; and in all respects said election was held and the returns made and 11 declared in the time, form, and manner as required by the provisions of the Charter of the City of 12 Riverside and the Elections Code of the State of California for the holding of public elections in 13 the City of Riverside; and 14 WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 22430 adopted on the 10th day of July, 2012, 15 the appropriate County official canvassed the returns of said election and has certified the results 16 to this City Council and said results are received, attached, and made a part hereof as Exhibit «A» 17 18 NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Riverside, as 19 follows: 20 Section 1: That there were one hundred sixteen (116)voting precincts Citywide. 21 Section 2: That said Special Municipal election was held for the purpose of electing a 22 Mayor of the City of Riverside pursuant to the provisions of the City Charter of the City of 23 Riverside and applicable state laws. 24 Section 3: That the whole number of votes cast City of Riverside was 91,098. 25 Section 4: That the names of the persons voted for at said election and the office which 26 each person was voted for are as follows: 27 28 CM ATTOrNM'S OFFICE 3900 M_AEV STFEE:r RILE sir,E,CA 925n ((951)926.5567 13-2
