SPA -4 -867 <br />1 RESOLUTION NO, 17352 <br />2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE, <br />CALIFORNIA, AMENDING THE CANYON SPRINGS SPECIFIC PLAN AND THE <br />3 LAND USE ELEMENT OF THE RIVERSIDE GENERAL PLAN PURSUANT TO THE <br />FINDINGS AND CONDITIONS OF CASE SPA -4 -867 <br />4 <br />5 WHEREAS, the Environmental Protection Commission of the City of Riverside, <br />6 California, considered a proposed amendment to the Canyon Springs Specific Plan and the Land <br />7 Use Element of the Riverside General Plan (Case SPA- 4 -867) at its meeting and determined that <br />8 the approval of Case SPA -4 -867 will not have a significant effect on the environment; and <br />9 WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Riverside, California, advertised for <br />10 and held a public hearing to consider Case SPA- 4 -867 and recommended to the City Council that <br />11 Case SPA- 4 -867 be approved; and <br />12 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Riverside, California, advertised for and held <br />13 a public hearing on May 26, 1987 to consider Case SPA- 4 -867; <br />14 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Riverside, <br />15 California, that the City Council finds as follows: <br />16 1. It is in the public interest to amend the Canyon Springs Specific Plan and the Land <br />17 Use Element of the Riverside General Plan as more particularly described below. <br />18 2. The amendment will not have a significant effect on the environment. <br />19 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that (1) none of the circumstances which would require <br />20 preparation of a subsequent Environmental Impact Report (EIR) apply to these cases; (2) only minor <br />21 technical changes or additions in the form of a revised project description incorporating the <br />22 recommended revisions contained in the staff report are necessary to make the previous EIR <br />23 adequate under CEiQA; and (3) the revisions made by the addendum do not raise important new <br />24 issues about significant effects on the environment or the severity of such impacts. <br />25 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Canyon Springs Specific Plan is amended to <br />26 indicate that future building heights for Parcels 24 through 35 and Parcel 65 of Parcel Map 19617 <br />27 shall be subject to the floor area ration provisions of Zone CO; amendment of Exhibit C of the <br />Note: Ronald Loveridge was not Mayor on <br />City Attorney's Office 1- 16 -90.
