CITY OF RIVERSIDE <br /> REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY MEMORANDUM <br /> <br />Honorable Mayor & Agency Members <br /> <br />Date: May 2, 2000 <br />Item No.: 2 <br /> <br />Subject: Request Approval of the CDBG Housing Rehabilitation Loans and Grants <br /> <br /> (Northside, Eastside, and Citywide Areas) <br /> <br />Background <br /> <br />In accordance with the provisions of their contract, the Riverside Housing Development Corporation (RItE)C) has <br />determined that the following applicants are eligible to participate in the CDBG Housing Rehabilitation <br />Loan/Grant Programs. These applicants are as follows: <br /> <br />12 039 Melinda Lott 4205 Federal Drive (01 ) NS Er/G $150 <br /> <br /> NS D/L $34,850 <br />Funds will be used to make emergency repairs to electricity, paint exterior, replace windows, entry doors;, <br />driveway, fencing, garage door, bring hot water heater up to code, install smoke detectors, GFCI receptacle <br />outlets, and up-grade kitchen and both bathrooms. Owner has lived at property for 2 years and has received no <br />prior assistance from this program. Yard is landscaped and well maintained. <br /> <br />12 080 Terry Sinasohn 10092 Shadyview Street (03) CW Er/G $780.00 <br /> <br />Funds will be used to make emergency repairs to plumbing. Owner has lived at property for 25 years and has <br />received no prior assistance from this program. Yard is landscaped and well maintained. <br /> <br />12 028 Isabella Johnson 3927 Ottawa Avenue (07) ES D/L $2,000.00 <br /> <br />Funds will be used to bring electrical up to code per City inspector. Owner received ES S/G in March of this year <br />to cover multiple items. Upon inspection, the City is requesting additional electric to be done in order to pass. <br />Owner has lived at property for 24 years. Yard is landscaped and well maintained. <br /> <br />12 040 Gertrude Stroman 4060 Strawberry Street (01) NS D/L $25,000.00 <br />Funds will be used to replace the roof, paint the exterior, install 2 windows, bring patio up to code, replace water <br />heater, replace floonng at both bathrooms, replace toilet, install GFI's in kitchen and both bathrooms and address <br />termite problems. Owner has lived at property for 5 years and has received no prior assistance from this :program. <br />Yard is landscaped and well maintained. <br /> <br />Fiscal Impact <br /> <br />Funds and amounts required for the above loans are available in the following Community Development Block <br />Grant Funds: Northside Rehab Program - Account #2835100-453802 $46,354.00; Citywide Rehab Program - <br />Account #2835100-453081 $16,426.00. <br /> <br />2-1 <br /> <br /> <br />
