1 RESOLUTION NO. 669 <br /> <br /> 2 A RESOLUTION OF THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF <br /> RIVERSIDE, CALIFORNIA, ADOPTING PROFESSIONAL CONSULTANT <br /> 3 SELECTION PROCEDURES AND ESTABLISHING A MONETARY LIMIT OF <br /> AUTHORITY OF $25,000 FOR THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR TO ENTER INTO <br /> 4 PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENTS ON BEHALF OF THE AGENCY. <br /> <br />5 WHEREAS, the Redevelopmerit Agency of the City of Riverside (the "Agency") does <br />6 not currently have in place formal procedures for the selection of professional consultants; and <br />7 WHEREAS, Agency staff currently follow City of Riverside procedures contained in <br />8 Administrative Manual Policy Nos. II-4 and II-5 for the selection of professional consultants; and <br />9 WHEREAS, under Administrative Manual Policy No. II-5, the City Manager of the City <br />10 of Riverside is authorized to enter into professional services agreements on behalf of City when the <br />11 total contract price is $25,000 or less; and <br />12 WHEREAS, the Executive Director of the Agency does not have the authority to enter <br />13 into professional services agreements on behalf of the Agency without the approval of the Agency <br />14 Executive Board; and <br />15 WHEREAS, the current system of requiring Agency Executive Board approwitl for all <br />16 professional services agreements is inefficient and has caused numerous delays in the execution of <br />17 such agreements; and <br />18 WHEREAS, upon the recommendation of the Executive Director, the Agency Executive <br />19 Board desires to adopt the procedures set forth in the City's Administrative Manual Policy Nos. II-4 <br />20 and II-5 for the selection of professional consultants, and to authorize the Executive Director to <br />21 enter into professional services agreements on behalf of the Agency when the total contract price is <br />22 $25,000 or less. <br />23 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Executive Board of the Redevelopment <br />24 Agency of the City of Riverside, California, as follows: <br />25 Section 1: That procedures for contracting for professional services contained in the City <br />26 of Riverside's Administrative Manual Policy Nos.
