i RESOLUTION NO. 655 <br /> <br /> 2 A RESOLUTION OF THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY <br /> <br /> 3 OF RIVERSIDE, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING PAYMENT BY THE <br /> REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY FOR ALL OR A PART OF THE VALUE OF <br /> 4 THE LAND FOR AND THE COST OF THE INSTALLATION AND <br /> CONSTRUCTION OF CERTAIN PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS WHICH ARE <br /> 5 OF BENEFIT TO THE CASA BLANCA REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT <br /> <br /> 6 <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of the Community Redevelopment Law <br /> <br /> 7 <br /> (Health and Safety Code Section 33000, et seq.), and in particular Section 33445 thereof, the <br /> <br /> 8 <br /> Redevelopment Agency of the City of Riverside (the "Agency") proposes to pay for all or a <br /> <br /> 9 <br /> part of the value of the land for and the cost of the installation and construction of certain <br /> <br />10 <br /> facilities, structures and other improvements which are publicly owned within the Casa <br /> <br />11 <br /> Blanca Redevelopment Project. <br /> <br />12 <br /> NOW THEREFORE, the Redevelopment Agency of the City of Riverside hereby <br /> <br />13 <br /> resolves as follows: <br />14 <br /> Section 1. The Agency proposes to pay for all of a part of the value of the land for <br />15 <br /> and the cost of installing and constructing the following described facilities, structures and <br /> <br /> improvements (the "Improvements"): <br />17 <br /> (a) Madison Street streetscape between Indiana Avenue and Evans Street to the <br />18 <br /> west and Lincoln Avenue and Victoria Avenue to the east, including, but not <br />:1_9 <br /> limited to, narrowing Madison Street from four lanes to three, landscaped <br />20 <br /> medians, curb extensions and sidewalk areas, enhanced bus stops, decorative <br />21 <br /> cross walks, undergrounded utilities, a monument and entryway near Indiana <br />22 <br /> Avenue and a tribute in statutory to the cultural heritage of Casa Blanca at the <br />23 <br /> Victoria Avenue intersection. <br />24 <br /> (b) On-site and off-site improvements serving the proposed Learning <br />25 <br /> Center/commercial site which is comprised of approximately 4.5 acres of land <br />26 <br /> fronting Madison Street between Frieda Avenue and Emerald Street., including, <br />27 <br /> but not limited to, a courtyard, parking facilities, lighting, landscaping, fencing, <br />28 <br /> screening, traffic and circulation improvements (including delivery access and <br /> <br />990122 11304-00002 rdh 1673598 1 <br /> <br /> <br />
