TO 8:00 P.M. ON BOTH SIDES OF CASTLE REAGH PLACE FROM <br />MAGNOLIA AVENUE TO RAMONA DRIVE, AND ON BOTH SIDES OF <br />LARCHWOOD PLACE FROM MAGNOLIA AVENUE TO RAMONA DRIVE, AND <br />ON BOTH SIDES OF RAMONA DRIVE FROM LARCHWOOD PLACE TO CASTLE <br />REAGH PLACE. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on December 1, 1999, the Parking, Traffic and Streets Commission held a <br />meeting at which it considered a request submitted by residents of the Wood Streets area to <br />establish no parking zones with the exception of residential preferential parking. This request was <br />made in anticipation of the construction of a new library on the campus of Riverside Community <br />College which is projected to significantly affect parking and traffic in the general area.; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on December 1, 1999 the Parking, Traffic and Streets Commission voted to <br />appoint a subcommittee to meet with the residents of the Wood Streets area, City personnel and <br />representatives of Riverside Community College to discuss the parking problems in the area; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the subcommittee of the Parking, Traffic and Streets Commission conducted <br />its investigation and thereafter, made recommendations to the Parking, Traffic and Streets <br />Commission to establish parking restrictions; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Parking, Traffic and Streets Commission mailed notices to all of the <br />affected residents and property owners informing them of the proposed recommendations for <br />parking restrictions and inviting them to attend a meeting of the Parking, Traffic and Streets <br /> <br />Commission at which the subject would be discussed further; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on January 5, 2000, the Parking, Traffic and Streets Commission held a <br />meeting which included approximately twenty (20) residents/property owners; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on January 5, 2000, the Parking, Traffic and Streets Commission and all <br />residents in attendance unanimously approved staff s recommendation to recommend that the City <br /> <br />G:\LEG\WPDATA\RES\00006301 .JT <br /> <br /> <br />
