I RESOLUTION NO. 19622 2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE. CALH:ORNIA AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCES OF PURCHASE ORDERS 3 FOR THE PURCHASE OF TWO FIRE ENGINES AND RELATED EQUIPMENT AND WAIVING OF THE FORMAL PROCUREMENT REQUIREMENTS OF 4 RESOLUTION NO. 17788 FOR THE PURCHASE OF SUCH EQUIPMENT. 5 WTHEREAS, the City of Riverside Fire Department finds it necessary to purchase two 6 replacement fire engines and related equipment; and 7 WHEREAS. the County of Orange recently obtained a competitive bid from KME Fire 8 Apparatus for the purchase of needed fire equipment; and 9 WHEREAS, KME Fire Apparatus has offbred the City of Riverside Fire Department the 10 same pricing, terms and conditions on the purchase of the two fire engines as that offered to the 11 County of Orange, and the City' s Purchasing Services Manager has determined that this method of 12 procurement is in the best interest of the City. 13 NOW, THEREFORE. the City Council of the City of Riverside. Calilbrnia does resolve 14 as lbllows: 15 Section 1: The City's Purchasing Services Manager is hereby authorized to issue a 16 Purchase Order and any necessary Change Orders to KME Fire Apparatus in an amount not to 17 exceed a combined total of $579,051.44 for the purchase of two fire engines. 18 Section 2: The formal procurement procedures set tbrth in Resolution No. 17788 are 19 hereby waived. and the City's Purchasing Services Manager is hereby attthorized to obtain informal 20 bids in the open market and to issue Purchase Orders tbr the purchase and installation of radio 21 communications equipment in two fire engines in an amount not to exceed a total of $42,400. 22 23 this 18th day of 24 25 26 27 ADOPTED by the City Council and signed by the Mayor and attested by the City Clerk January, 2000.
