6 <br /> <br /> 7 <br /> <br /> 8 <br /> <br /> 9 <br /> <br />10 <br /> <br />11 <br /> <br />12 <br /> <br />13 <br /> <br />14 <br /> <br />15 <br /> <br />16 <br /> <br />17 <br /> <br />18 <br /> <br />19 <br /> <br />20 <br /> <br />21 <br /> <br />22 <br /> <br />23 <br /> <br />24 <br /> <br />25 <br /> <br />26 <br /> <br />27 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 19620 <br /> <br />2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE, <br /> CALIFORNIA, WAIVING CONDUCTING AUTHORITY PROCEEDINGS <br />3 RELATING TO ANNEXATION NO. 89 TO THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE. <br /> <br />4 WHEREAS, the owners of the afi2bcted property wish to make application to the <br />5 Riverside County Local Area Formation Commission CLAFCO") for the annexation of certain <br /> parcels of unincorporated territory as shown on Exhibit A which is attached hereto; and <br /> WHEREAS, the proposed annexation territory is a 132-acre site containing vacant land; <br /> <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the proposed annexation territory is uninhabited within the meaning of <br />Calilbmia Government Code section 56046; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the property owners of 100% of the property comprising the annexation <br />territory have given their written consent to the annexation; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the owners of the afibcted property and the City of Riverside desire that the <br />annexation be completed in the shortest possible time period; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, California Government Code section 56837(c)(3) provides for a waiver of <br />conducting authority proceedings provided that, inter alia,"... all affected local agencies that will <br />gain territory as a result of the change of organization or reorganization have consented in writing to <br />a waiver of conducting authority proceedings"; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, FOUND AND DETERMINED by the City <br />Council of the City of Riverside, California, as follows: <br /> <br /> That the City of Riverside, pursuant to Government Code section 56837(c)(3), does <br />hereby consent to a waiver of conducting authority proceedings for the purpose of expediting <br /> <br />LAFCO application. <br /> / <br /> / <br /> / <br /> / <br /> <br />City Attorney's Office <br />3900Main Street <br />Riverside, CA 92522 <br />(909) 782-5567 <br /> <br /> <br />
