COUNCIL/AGENCY <br />MEMBERS <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />AND <br />HOUSING AUTHORITY <br />MINUTES <br />TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 11, 2012,12 P.M. <br />ART PICK COUNCIL CHAMBER, CITY HALL <br />City ofArts Unnovation 3900 MAIN STREET <br />WARDS <br />G <br />R <br />D <br />E <br />R <br />1 <br />M <br />L <br />E <br />D <br />E <br />z <br />2 <br />B <br />IA <br />L <br />Y <br />3 <br />D <br />A <br />I <br />S <br />4 <br />M <br />A <br />R <br />H <br />U <br />R <br />5 <br />H <br />A <br />T <br />6 <br />A <br />A <br />M <br />S <br />7 <br />Roll Call: <br />Present <br />X <br />X <br />X <br />X <br />X <br />X <br />X <br />Mayor Loveridge convened the City Council meeting in the Mayor's <br />Ceremonial Room at 12 p.m. for AB 1234 biennial State and local ethics law <br />training. <br />RECESS <br />The City Council recessed at 2:17 p.m. and reconvened at 6:30 p.m. in the <br />Art Pick Council Chamber. <br />The invocation was given by Councilmember Adams. <br />The City of Riverside Honor Guard presented the Colors. <br />The Pledge of Allegiance was given to the flag. <br />The Mayor, City Council, and all present observed a moment of silence in <br />memory of September 11, 2001. <br />PRESENTATIONS <br />Fire Chief Earley presented a 9/11 Remembered presentation. <br />Mayor Loveridge introduced League of California Cities' Regional Public <br />Affairs Manager for Riverside County Erin Sasse. <br />ECONOMIC SUCCESS REPORT <br />Councilmember Bailey reported on Notre Dame High School. <br />DISCUSSION CALENDAR <br />AGREEMENT - TEMPORARY ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AND <br />BUSINESS RETENTION ELECTRIC RATE SCHEDULES - RESOLUTION <br />Following discussion, the City Council (1) approved the Temporary Economic <br />Development rate (Schedule TED) for qualifying new commercial and <br />industrial customers and extending the Business Retention rate (Schedule <br />BR) agreement deadline as outlined in the written staff report; (2) adopted a <br />resolution approving the Schedule TED rate and revised the Schedule BR <br />rate; (3) approved the proposed Schedule TED Rate Agreement for <br />customers eligible for the New Schedule TED rate; and (4) authorized the <br />General Manager of Riverside Public Utilities to execute the Schedule TED <br />rate agreements with customers eligible for the Schedule TED; whereupon, <br />the title having been read and further reading waived, Resolution No. 22453 <br />98-59 <br />
