Ceremony to be held February 22 <br /> <br />Contact: City Clerk Colleen Nicol <br /> 826-5557 <br /> <br /> The City Council for the City of Riverside announced the appointments to several <br />boards and commissions. The current appointments are volunteer positions on the <br />Planning Commission, Municipal Museum Board, Board of Public Utilities, Human <br />Relations Commission and Mayor and Council Member Salary Commission. <br /> <br /> Volunteers on the City Planning Commission include William Densmore who <br />will serve a four-year term until March 1,2004 and Christopher Sahlin as an alternate <br />for a one-year term ending March 1, 2001. William Densmore is the director of the <br />Riverside County Veteran's Services Department. He has served on several city <br />committees such as the Villegas Statue Committee, the Medal of Honor Committee and <br />the Homeless Committee. Christopher Sahlin is an architect who has lived in Riverside <br />more than 30 years. He has served on the City's Design Review Board as a member <br />and its chair. They will join Susan Shafai, who was re-appointed to serve until March 1, <br />2004. <br /> <br /> Members appointed to the Mayor and Council Member Salary Commission <br />include Steven Colson, Barbara Crouch, Virginia Field, Duane Lowe, Frank Mott, <br />Thomas Powell and Ted Yancu. Steven Colson is an account executive with Talbot <br />Insurance who has lived in Riverside 32 years and has participated in the Riverside <br />Downtown Chamber of Commerce and Riverside Downtown Partnership. Barbara <br />Crouch is a human resources consultant trainer who has serves on the board of the <br /> <br /> <br />
