CITY OF RIVERSIDE <br /> REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY MEMORANDUM <br /> <br />Honorable Mayor & Agency Members <br /> <br /> Date: February 1, 2000 <br />Item No.: 2 <br /> <br />Subject: Request Approval of the CDBG Housing Rehabilitation Loans and Grants - Casa Blanca, <br /> l~agnolia Center, and Eastside Areas <br /> <br />Background <br /> <br />In accordance with the provisions of their contract, the Riverside Housing Development Corporation (RHDC) has <br />determined that the following applicants are eligible to participate in the CDBG Housing Rehabilitation <br />Loan/Grant Programs. These applicants are as follows: <br /> <br />11 092 Rose Pettigrew 2854 Blackstone Street (04) CB S/G $5,000 <br /> CB D/L $11,500 <br /> <br />Funds will be used to install a new roof, replace garage door, deteriorated fence and gate, repair broken window, <br />address termite deficiencies at subfloor, replace kitchen entry door, bring electrical and plumbing up to code, <br />replace damaged interior doors, replace flooring in kitchen and dining room, replace all bathroom fixtures, <br />refinish kitchen cabinets and replace sink and faucet. Owner has lived at property for 28 years; yard is landscaped <br />and well maintained. She has received grants and a deferred loan in 1990 and 1992, both more than five years <br />ago. <br /> <br />11 082 Helen Walker 3611 Elmwood Court (06) MC D/L $10,000 <br /> <br />Funds will be used to repair any termite deficiencies, install a new roof, spark arrestor, hood vent over stove, <br />replace bathroom light fixture, install new GFCI receptacle outlets, and replace electrical panel complete. Owner <br />will complete all items to bring hot water heater up to code. Owner has lived at property for 29 years and has <br />received no prior assistance from this program. Yard is landscaped and well maintained. <br /> <br />11 094 Ignacio & Melania Mendez 4463 Langston Place (07) <br /> <br />ES G $5,000 <br /> <br />Funds will be used to replace entry doors, install new hot water heater to code, and install GFCI receptacle <br />outlets. Owner will tear down both patios that are not to code and install a range hood prior to construction. <br />Owner has lived at property for 11 years and received no prior assistance from this program.
