RESOLUTION NO. 22309 <br />2 <br />3 <br />4 <br />5 <br />b <br />7 <br />8 <br />9 <br />10 <br />11 <br />12 <br />13 <br />14 <br />15 <br />16 <br />17 <br />18 <br />19 <br />20 <br />21 <br />22 <br />23 <br />24 <br />25 <br />26 <br />27 <br />28 <br />CITY ATTORNEY'S OFF F <br />3909 MAIN STREET <br />RPIERSME, CA 92522 <br />((951) 826 -5567 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RIVERSIDE, CALIFORNIA, RECITING THE FACT OF THE <br />SPECIAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION HELD IN SAID CITY ON THE <br />8 th DAY OF NOVEMBER, 2011, DECLARING THE RESULTS <br />THEREOF AND SETTING FORTH SUCH OTHER MATTERS AS <br />ARE PROVIDED BY LAW. <br />WHEREAS, a Special Municipal Election was held and conducted in the City of <br />Riverside on the 8th day of November, 2011, as required by law for the purpose of electing a <br />member of the City Council for Ward 7 and Measure I — Library Parcel Tax; and <br />WHEREAS, notice of said election was duly and regularly given in the time, fora] and <br />manner as provided by law; and in all respects said election was held and the returns made and <br />declared in the time, form, and manner as required by the provisions of the Charter of the City of <br />Riverside and the Elections Code of the State of California for the holding of public elections in <br />the City of Riverside; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 22231 adopted on the 21 st day of June, 2011, <br />and Resolution No. 22255 adopted on July 26, 2011, the appropriate County official canvassed <br />the returns of said election and has certified the results to this City Council and said results are <br />received, attached, and made a part hereof as Exhibit "A ". <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Riverside, as <br />follows: <br />Section 1: That there were nine (9) voting precincts in the Seventh Ward, and ninety- <br />four (94) voting precincts Citywide. <br />Section 2: That said Special Municipal election was held for the purpose of electing one <br />(1) member of the City Council of the City of Riverside from Ward 7 of the City of Riverside as <br />established by City Council, and Measure I — Library Parcel Tax. <br />Section 3 : That the whole number of votes cast in the Seventh Ward in the City of <br />Riverside was 2,623, and the whole number of votes cast in said City election was 21,527. <br />Section 4: That the names of the persons voted for at said election and the office which <br />each person was voted for are as follows: <br />G:\CLERK\DFPTcommbN\COUNCIL\RESOLUTIONS\12-06-1 RESULTS -DOC <br />
