Section 14.12.230 entitled "Record Keeping" of the Riverside Municipal <br />Code is amended in its entirety as follows. <br />"Section 14.12.230 Record Keeping. <br />All users shall keep records of waste hauling, reclamations, wastewater pretreatment, <br />monitoring device recording charts and calibration reports, effluent flow, sample analysis <br />data, and, at the discretion of the Director, BMP effectiveness, on the site of the <br />wastewater generation. All these records are subject to inspection and copy by Director. <br />All records must be kept on the site of the wastewater generation for a minimum period <br />of three years. The record retention period may be extended beyond three years in the <br />event criminal or civil action is taken or an extensive user history is required. Records <br />required by company or corporate policy to be kept off -site shall be telefaxed or <br />submitted electronically to the Environmental Compliance Office within seventy -two <br />hours of the records request. Failure to submit the records as required is a violation of this <br />Chapter and may result in enforcement actions." <br />Section 2 . Section 14.12.3 15 entitled "Surface Discharge Prohibitions" of the Riverside <br />Municipal Code is amended to add a new subsection D as follows. <br />"Section 14.12.315 Surface Discharge Prohibitions. <br />D. Any user discharging wastewater to the storm drain shall employ effective BMPs to <br />prevent or reduce the discharge of pollutants to the storm drain. The City may require <br />documentation on the effectiveness of BMPs implemented to reduce the discharge of <br />pollutants to the storm drain." <br />Section 3 . The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this ordinance and cause <br />publication once in a newspaper of general circulation in accordance with Section 414 of the <br />Charter of the City of Riverside. This ordinance shall become effective on the 30th day after the <br />date of its adoption. <br />I <br />54 -1 <br />
