RECOMMENDATIONS That the City Council: Authorize award of Bid No. 7004 to EBS General Engineering, Inc. Corona, California, in the amount of $198,000 for construction of Andulka Park Parking Lot Expansion; and 2. Authorize the City Manager, or his designee, to execute the necessary documents. BACKGROUND The Andulka Park improvements project consists of construction of a 50 -stall parking lot expansion at the north end of the park, and on the east side of the tennis center. Additional parking is needed to address the increased parking demand during peak park hours and special events. Construction of the parking lot will occur on 0.9 acres of the 36.77 acre park and will include grading, paving drainage, erosion control, signage, landscaping and irrigation improvements. On August 30, 2011, staff issued a Notice Inviting Bids and on September 14, 2011, 10 bids were received for the Andulka Park Parking Lot Expansion Improvements, Bid No. 7004. Per the attached Purchasing Services Manager's Bid Award Recommendation Report, the lowest responsive and responsible bidder was EBS General Engineering, Inc. of Corona, California. Staff's review of this bidder's references has elicited no negative information. Further, the State Contractor's Licensing Board records indicate this bidder's license is current, active and in good standing. 25 -1
