Date: 10 -4 -11 <br />CITY COUNCIL Item No.: 17 <br />AND <br />REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY <br />MINUTES <br />TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 27, 2011, 3 P.M. <br />ART PICK COUNCIL CHAMBER <br />CITY HALL <br />3900 MAIN STREET <br />Roll Call <br />In the absence of Mayor Loveridge, Mayor Pro Tern Mac Arthur called the <br />meeting to order at 3 p.m. in the Art Pick Council Chamber. <br />PUBLIC HEARING <br />MOBILE HOME PARKS RENT STABILIZATION <br />Hearing was called on mobile home parks rent stabilization pursuant to <br />Riverside Municipal Code (RMC) Section 5.75.080. Nine people spoke <br />regarding the matter. No written protests were presented. The public <br />hearing was officially closed. Following discussion, the City Council <br />(1) directed staff to notify mobile home park owners and tenant <br />representatives on record of the maximum allowable rent increase that will be <br />in effect in calendar year 2012 is 1.92 percent pursuant to RMC Section <br />5.75.040; (2) received and ordered filed the annual report on all activities that <br />have taken place relative to the Mobile Home Parks Rent Stabilization <br />Ordinance for the 2011 reporting period from September 1, 2010, through <br />August 31, 2011; and (3) directed staff to notify mobile home park owners <br />and tenant representatives on record 30 days in advance of any hearing. <br />Mayor Loveridge arrived at this time and presided. <br />ASSEMBLY BILL 109 - PUBLIC SAFETY REALIGNMENT <br />The Riverside Police Department and Riverside County Probation presented <br />a report on Assembly Bill 109 Public Safety Realignment and its impact on <br />the Riverside community and will return to the City Council in six weeks with <br />a status report. <br />ORAL COMMUNICATIONS FROM THE AUDIENCE <br />There were no oral comments at this time. <br />RECESS <br />The City Council recessed at 5:22 p.m. and reconvened at 6:15 p.m. in the <br />Art Pick Council Chamber. <br />PLANNING COMMISSION REPORT <br />Chair Patricia A. Lock - Dawson presented a report on the activities of the <br />Planning Commission.
