Attached please find copies of the signatures of over 200 city
residents urging you to reject this proposal, and retaining the character of our
neighborhood. (Note: We continue to collect additional signatures.)

In addition to rejecting this proposal, we urge you to join us in a
coalition effort to create a long term solution to this situation. We are
attempting to egage interested parties, who are committed to not only
defeating the Marriott proposal, but also in creating an alternative solution.

Fingers can be pointed in many directions,- at the city, the tennis
players, the community - as to why this has not happened previously. But
let' s get beyond this approach, and solve this matter so that all interests can-
be served.

Thank you for your consideration. We will be present at the City
Council meeting if/when this matter is heard.

City Clerk (
Larry Paulson
