( „`iP 4 1:411 d. ��"]'f'�r: ?4 "rLP1 <br />City Council Memorandum <br />TO: HONORABLE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL DATE: August 9, 2011 <br />FROM: GENERAL SERVICES DEPARTMENT ITEM NO: 33 <br />WARDS: ALL <br />SUBJECT: BID NO. 6989 - TIRES & TUBES FOR CITY VEHICLES <br />ISSUE: <br />The issue for City Council consideration is award of Bid No. 6989 to Eagle Road Service and Tire <br />Inc., Riverside, CA; for purchase of tires and tubes for various City vehicles. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />That the City Council award Bid No. 6989 to Eagle Road Service and Tire Inc., Riverside, CA; for <br />purchase of tires and tubes for various City vehicles in the amount of $136,799.03. <br />BACKGROUND <br />The Fleet Management Division purchases tires and tubes to maintain vehicles for multiple City <br />departments. The City's fleet currently consists of approximately 1,361 vehicles and equipment. <br />On June 30, 2011, Bid No. 6989 was issued. Seven (7) responses were received. The lowest <br />responsive bid was from Eagle Road Service, Inc., of Riverside, CA. <br />The Purchasing Services Manager concurs with the recommendation above. <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />Funds in the amount of $136,799.03 are available in the FY 2011 -12 General Services Budget <br />Account No. 0000650 - 141200 which are subsequently charged to user Departments through <br />Central Garage charges. <br />Prepared by: <br />Certified as to the <br />availability of funds: <br />Approved by: <br />Approved as to form <br />Kris Martinez, General Services Director <br />Paul C.
