AGREEMENT FOR HALF TIME, PRIME TIME PROGRAMS Alvord Unified School District THIS AGREEMENT is made and entered into this day of , 2011, by and between the CITY OF RIVERSIDE, a California charter city and municipal corporation, hereinafter referred to as "City," and ALVORD UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT, hereinafter referred to as "Alvord" (together, the "parties "), with respect to the following facts: RECITALS: WHEREAS, Alvord received three (3) After School Education and Safety Grants (ASES) from the California Department of Education, collectively referred to as the "Grants"; and WHEREAS, Alvord will use the Grants to provide the PRIME Time Program, which will serve four (4) intermediate schools, and the HALF Time Program, which will serve eleven (11) elementary schools, collectively referred to as "After - School Programs "; and WHEREAS, Alvord has been unable to hire sufficient recreation personnel to conduct the After - School Programs; and WHEREAS, the City has experience in hiring and supervising recreation personnel capable of performing the services required by the After - School Programs; and WHEREAS, Alvord is willing and able to reimburse the City for hiring personnel so Alvord can provide the After - School Programs; and WHEREAS, the City desires Alvord to conduct the After - School Programs, for the benefit of the City and its citizens, and thus is willing to contribute employees and funding to Alvord for the After - School Programs; and WHEREAS, pursuant to this Agreement, the Parties expect Alvord will conduct the After - school Programs, in full compliance with its obligations under the Grants, and in an expedited fashion. NOW, THEREFORE, City and Alvord agree as follows: 1. Scope City agrees to provide personnel for Alvord to conduct the After- School Programs, according to the Grants' terms and conditions, and in accordance with the terms and conditions set forth herein. 43 -3
