The program gives the City an opportunity to provide after -
school tutoring, recreational activities, and physical fitness activities to address the obesity
epidemic. Additionally, the program provides youth a safe environment between the hours of
2:00 p.m. — 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Annually, the after - school program assists
approximately 21,000 students.
43 -1
