FIRST AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT <br />FOR PROFESSIONAL CONSULTANT SERVICES <br />HIGGINSON CARTOZIAN ARCHITECTS, INC. <br />Remodeling of Main Building at Corporation Yard <br />THIS FIRST AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT FOR PROFESSIONAL <br />CONSULTANT SERVICES ( "First Amendment "), is made and entered into this 11 th day of <br />April , 2011, by and between the CITY OF RIVERSIDE, a California charter city <br />and municipal corporation, hereinafter referred to as "City," and HIGGINSON CARTOZIAN <br />ARCHITECTS, INC., a California corporation, 1455 Park Avenue Redlands, California 92373, <br />hereinafter referred to as "Consultant," with respect to the following facts: <br />RECITALS <br />WHEREAS, on or about September 12, 2008, City and Consultant entered into that <br />certain Agreement for Professional Consultant Services ( "Agreement "), wherein Consultant <br />agreed to provide architectural services for the remodeling of the Main Building at the <br />Corporation Yard; and <br />WHEREAS, City and Consultant desire to extend the term of the Agreement to <br />December 31, 2013; and <br />WHEREAS, due to additional work required on the Project, City and Consultant desire to <br />amend the Agreement to increase the contract price by TWENTY -FOUR THOUSAND THREE <br />HUNDRED AND NINETY -EIGHT Dollars ($24,398.00), for an adjusted not to exceed contract <br />price of ONE HUNDRED NINETY -NINE THOUSAND THREE HUNDRED NINETY -EIGHT <br />Dollars ($199,398.00). <br />NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the foregoing recitals which are incorporated <br />herein by this reference, City and Consultant agree as follows: <br />1. Section 2 Term of the Agreement is hereby amended to extend the term of the <br />Agreement from December 31, 2009, to December 31, 2013. <br />2. Section 3 Compensation/Payment of the Agreement is hereby amended in its <br />entirety as follows: <br />1 <br />26 -3 <br />
