<br />- <br /> <br />AGREEMENT FOR PROFESSIONAL CONSULTANT SERVICES <br /> <br />(Construction Management and Estimating Services) <br /> <br />THIS AGREEMENT is made and entered into this 18th day of August , 1999, by <br />and between the Redevelopment Agency for the City of Riverside, a public entity, hereinafter <br />referred to as "Agency," and Darrell L. Connerton dba DLC Consulting and Construction <br />Management, 31618 Corte Rosario, Temecula, CA 92592, hereinafter referred to as <br />"Consultant," with respect to the following facts: <br /> <br />RECITALS: <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Agency has circulated a Request for Proposals (RFP) expressing its desire <br />to retain a professional consulting firm to provide construction management and estimating <br />services; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Consultant has the necessary expenence In providing professional <br />construction management and estimating services; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Consultant has submitted a Proposal to Agency and has affirmed its <br />willingness and ability to perform such work; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, Agency and Consultant agree as follows: <br /> <br />1. Retention of Consultant. Agency retains Consultant to perform, and <br />Consultant agrees to render, those services (hereinafter "the services") defined in Exhibit "A" <br />attached hereto and incorporated herein by this reference in accordance with the terms and <br />conditions set forth herein. <br /> <br />2. Standard of Performance. While performing the services, Consultant shall <br />exercise the reasonable professional care and skill customarily exercised by reputable members <br />of Consultant's profession practicing in the Metropolitan Southern California Area, and shall use <br />reasonable diligence and best judgment while exercising its professional skill and expertise. <br /> <br />3. Term. The initial term of this Agreement shall be from July 1, 1999 to June 30, <br />2000, unless earlier terminated as provided herein. Term may be extended by mutual consent of <br />the parties for additional twelve-month periods not to exceed a total of three years. <br /> <br />4. Personnel. Consultant shall furnish all personnel necessary to perform the <br />services and shall be responsible for their performance and compensation. Consultant recognizes <br />that the qualifications and experience of the personnel to be used are vital to professional and <br />timely completion of the services. The key personnel listed in Exhibit "B" attached hereto and <br />incorporated herein by this reference and assigned to perform portions of the services shall <br />remain assigned through completion of the services, unless otherwise mutually agreed by the <br /> <br />1 <br /> <br />Rill '7- 13 -q q <br />Kf)- lit <br />
