From: Karen Doris Wright 4167 Central Avenue, Riverside, Ca 92506 951204-3252 twodogkd @yahoo.com Subject: Karen Wright's written public comments about the about the Panel Selected for the Charter Review Committee, and my opinion and request that this meeting be canceled until such time as the opportunities to apply are reschedule, and panel members reselected as the panel is not balances and does NOT represent those who live in Riverside CA, this is for the record for both the 3/14 5:30 pm meeting of the Charter Review Committee held in the Mayor's Ceremonial Conference Room in Riverside City Hall and 3/14 6:30 Riverside City Council meeting held in Council Chambers for written public comment at the 3/14 6:30 City Council meeting about the Panel Selected for the Charter Review Committee I AM AGAINST HOLDING a CHARTER REVIEW COMMITTEE TODAY TO BEGIN ANY REVIEW OF THE CHARTER I AM FOR dismantling the currently selected CHARTER REVIEW PANEL and FOR RE ADVERTISING THE PANEL but with much broader advertising and reaching out to ensure a FAIR PROCESS where ALL CITIZENS have an opportunity to be on the PANEL, and believe the fact that no MINORITIES are on the panel demonstrate the ADVERTISING WAS INADEQUATE and CITIZENS NOT FAIRLY AND BROADLY NOTIFIED. THOSE on the current panel should resubmit or their packages be included in consideration for the NEW PANEL. THE CHARTER REVIEW PANEL should be greatly expanded and should include a significant number for other racial/ethic backgrounds AS WELL AS other socio econmic groups. I think the number on the prior panel was 20, so lets say 20.
