NICOL <br />City Clerk <br />SUBJECT: IMPARTIAL ANALYSIS - RTER AMENDMENTS <br />At their regular meeting of July 27, 2004, the City Council adopted Resolution Nos. <br />20750 and 20751 ordering submission of twenty -three amendments to the City <br />Charter and calling a special election for November 2, 2004, for the purpose of <br />submitting to the qualified electors twelve measures setting forth such amendments. <br />Pursuant to Elections Code 9280 and Resolution No. 20751, please prepare an <br />impartial analysis showing the effect of the measures on existing law and operation of <br />the measure. The Elections Code further provides that the analysis shall not exceed <br />500 words. <br />The analysis will be printed in the sample ballot materials mailed to all voters in the <br />City of Riverside. Please forward the analysis to my office for delivery to the Registrar <br />of Voters by August 17, 2004. <br />If you have any questions, please contact me at extension 4281.
