I RESOLUTION NO. 932 <br /> 2 A RESOLUTION OF THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF <br /> 3 RIVERSIDE, CALIFORNIA, ADOPTING FINDINGS PURSUANT TO <br /> HEALTH & SAFETY CODE SECTION 33445 AND AUTHORIZING <br /> 4 PAYMENT OF COSTS FOR PUBLICLY OWNED PROJECTS WITHIN OR <br /> WITHOUT THE ARLINGTON REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT AREA THAT <br /> 5 CONSIST OF IMPROVEMENTS AT RAMONA HIGH SCHOOL. <br /> 6 WHEREAS, the Redevelopment Agency of the City of Riverside, California ( "Agency ") <br /> 7 desires and intends to pay the cost for the construction and installation of public improvements <br /> 8 consisting of the construction of an artificial turf sports held and improvements to the Stadium, <br /> 9 snack bar, City storage and parking lot at Ramona High School ( "Improvements ") within or <br /> 10 without the Arlington Redevelopment Project Area (the "Project Area "); and <br /> 1 I WHEREAS, Health and Safety Code Section 33445 provides that the Agency may, with <br /> 12 the consent of the legislative body, pay all or part of the value of the land for, and the cost of the <br /> 13 installation and construction of, any building, facility, structure, or other improvement that is <br /> 14 publicly owned either within or without the Project Area; and <br /> 15 WHEREAS, the Improvements will reduce blight in the Project Area and its surrounding <br /> 16 neighborhoods; and <br /> 17 WHEREAS, the Improvements will provide improved school facilities for Project Area <br /> 18 residents and promote the health, safety and welfare of the community; and <br /> 19 WHEREAS, the legislative body of the Agency has consented to the Agency's payment <br /> 20 of the cost of construction and installation of the Improvements; and <br /> 21 WHEREAS, the Agency, with consent of the legislative body, desires to pay the cost for <br /> 22 construction and installation of the Improvements as described in this resolution. <br /> 23 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Redevelopment Agency of the City of <br /> 24 Riverside that staff is hereby authorized to pay for the costs for construction and installation of <br /> 25 Improvements described in this resolution, based on the following findings: <br /> 26 Section 1 . The Improvements benefit the Project Area by assuring the existence of <br /> 27 adequately maintained schools serving the Project Area per Health and Safety Code 33680. The <br /> 28 Improvements will create quality recreational opportunities for Project Area residents that <br /> 1 <br />
