RESOLUTION NO. 911 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 A RESOLUTION OF THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE, CALIFORNIA, ADOPTING FINDINGS PURSUANT TO HEALTH & SAFETY CODE SECTION 33445 AND AUTHORIZING PAYMENT OF COSTS FOR PUBLICLY OWNED PROJECTS WITHIN THE CASA BLANCA REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT AREA FOR THE PROPERTY IMPROVED WITH THE CASA BLANCA LIBRARY. WHEREAS, the Redevelopment Agency of the City of Riverside, California ("Agency") desires and intends to transfer the property, identified by Assessor Parcel Number (APN) 230- 351-014 (the "Property") to the City within the Casa Blanca Redevelopment Project Area (the "Project Area"); and WHEREAS, Health and Safety Code Section 33445 provides that the Agency may, with the consent of the legislative body, pay all or part of the value of the land for, and the cost of the installation and construction of, any building, facility, structure, or other improvement that is publicly owned either within or without the Project Area; and WHEREAS, the Property is improved with the Casa Blanca Library and other public facilities ("Improvements") and has reduced blight in the Project Area and its surrounding neighborhoods; and WHEREAS, the Property provides publicly owned facilities in the Project Area and promotes the health, safety and welfare of the community; and WHEREAS, the legislative body of the Agency has consented to the Agency's transfer of title to the Property for the purpose of consolidating ownership and maintenance of the Property; and WHEREAS, Agency paid for the cost of acquiring the Property; and WHEREAS, the Agency, with consent of the legislative body, paid and desires to transfer the Property to the City as described in this resolution. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Redevelopment Agency of the City of Riverside that staff is hereby authorized to pay for the cost of and to transfer title of the Property based on the following findings: 1
