f <br />Riverside held on <br />July 2, 1929.` <br />Adjourned regular meeting of the Mayor and Council of the City of <br />Tuesday, July 2, 1929, at 9:00 O'clock A. 14 <br />�• <br />Present: Mayor Long, presiding; Councilmen Redman, Backstrand, Taylor bhlbauseu and Pearce; <br />Roll Call <br />City Clerk Mille. <br />The minutes of the meeting of June 25, 1929, very read and approved. <br />Minutes <br />r <br />••r <br />' <br />i <br />A communication from the Building Code Revision Committee, recommending the adoption of the <br />Building <br />i <br />Code . <br />uniform building code prepared by the Pacific Coast Building Officials Conference, as revised by the <br />said Committee to suit the needs of the City of Riverside, was received and filed; and upon motion <br />of Councilman Taylor, seconded by Councilman Redman, the City Attorney was instructed to prepare the <br />said code in proper form for adoption as an ordinance. <br />rrr <br />Upon motion of councilmen Pearse, seconded by Councilman Ohlhausen, the matter of preparing <br />Fire <br />_r <br />Districts <br />j <br />an ordinance defining the boundaries of the fire districts of the City of Riverside, as proposed by <br />the Building Code Revision Committee, was referred to the City Attorney, the City Engineer and the <br />President of the City Planning C <br />Upon motion of Councilman Backstrand, seconded by Councilman Taylor, the request of Mrs. <br />Beauty <br />Parlor <br />Grover Davidson for to perform marvelling work in•her residence at No. 639 Mulberry Street, <br />was referred to the General Co —ittee of the Council. <br />; <br />Councilman Bells entered at this time. <br />I Councilman <br />1 fells <br />This being the time set for the opening of bids for the proposed improvement of portions of. <br />Bids <br />Elmwood Drive, Elmwood Court and Riverside Avenue, as described in Resolution of Intention Ho. 1559 <br />Elmo od ri <br />' <br />Elmwood Co <br />r <br />(Hew Series), bids were received from the following; W. J. Brand; Hall- Johnson Company; Pearson and <br />Riverside Ave <br />i Dickerson; <br />and C.
