1 RE~LUT~~N N0.9 ~ A RES~Li~TI~N OF THE REI~~'U~EL~PENT ArENCY ~F THE CITY ~F ~ RERIDE, CALIP~RN~A, AIPTIN FINI~INCx PUR~ANT T~ ALTS A~`ET~ ECTI~N X3445 ANI] AUTH~RI~INC 4 PAYMENT CT PUBLICLY OWNED PROJECT THIN THE LA IERR.AIARLAN~A REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT FOR THE LA SIERRA ~ Y CENTER AT LA SIERRA PARK. ~ WHEREAS, the Redevelopment Agency of the City of Riverside, California ~"Agency'} 7 desires and intends to pay the cost far the construction and installation of public improvements g consisting of improvements to the La sierra Community Center ~"Irnprovetnnts"} within the La SierraJArlan~a Redevelopment Project Area the "Project Area"}; and 1~ wHEREA, Health and safety Code Section 33445 provides that the Agency rrzay, with 11 the consent of the legislative body, pay all or part of the value of the land far, and the cost of the 1 ~ installation and construction of, any building, facility, structure, or other improvements that is 1 publicly owned either within or without the Project Area; and 14 wHEREA, the Improvements will consist of paint, flooring, lighting, and furnishing I S improvements at the gymnasium, kitchen, multi-purpose room, computer roam, game roorri, and 1 ~ lal~by of the La sierra Community Center; and 1 ~ wHEREA, the Improvements will reduce blight in the Project Area and its surrounding 1 ~ neighborhoods; and 19 WHEREAS, the Improvements wi11 provrde the residents with a modern fa~l~ty, access to educational and recreational resources and prorriote the health, safety and welfare of the ~ 1 community; and WHEREAS, the legislative body of the Agency has consented to the Agency's payment of the cost of construction and instatiation of the Improvements; and 24 WHEREAS, the Agency, with consent of the legislative 1~ody, desires to pay the cost for 25 construction and installation of the Improvements as described in this resolution.
