Ý·¬§ Ý±«²½·´ñÎ»¼»ª»´±°³»²¬ ß¹»²½§ Ó»³±®¿²¼«³ TO: HONORABLE MAYOR, CITY COUNCIL DATE: July 14, 2009 AND AGENCY MEMBERS ITEM NO: FROM: DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT WARD: 7 SUBJECT: PROPOSED COMMENCEMENT OF PLANNING, ENGINEERING DESIGN, ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT AND RIGHT-OF-WAY ACQUISITIONS FOR FUTURE STREET IMPROVEMENTS ON GOULD AVENUE AND GRAMERCY PLACE – MAKING CERTAIN FINDINGS REGARDING RIGHT-OF-WAY ACQUISITIONS AND INSTALLATION OF PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS THAT ARE OF BENEFIT TO THE LA SIERRA/ARLANZA REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT AREA – FUNDS TRANSFER ISSUES The issue for City Council consideration is whether to adopt a resolution (Exhibit A) making certain findings regarding the right-of-way acquisitions and installation of public improvements consisting of street improvements on Gould Avenue and Gramercy Place, which are of benefit to the La Sierra/Arlanza Redevelopment Project Area. The issues for the Redevelopment Agency are whether to consider adoption of a resolution (Exhibit B) making certain findings regarding the right-of-way acquisitions and installation of public improvements consisting of street improvements on Gould Avenue and Gramercy Place, which are of benefit to the La Sierra/Arlanza Redevelopment Project Area and authorization for a funds transfer in the amount of $100,000 from the La Sierra/Arlanza 2007 Unprogrammed Tax- Exempt Account Number 9811279-440446 for planning, engineering design, environmental assessment and right-of-way acquisition costs. RECOMMENDATIONS That the : Adopt the attached resolution (Exhibit A) making certain findings regarding the right-of-way acquisitions and installation of public improvements consisting of street improvements on Gould Avenue and Gramercy Place, which are of benefit to the La Sierra/Arlanza Project Area. That the : 1. Adopt the attached resolution (Exhibit B) making certain findings regarding the right-of-way acquisitions and installation of public improvements consisting of street improvements on Gould Avenue and Gramercy Place, which are of benefit to the La Sierra/Arlanza Project Area; and 2. Authorize a funds transfer in the amount of $100,000 from the La Sierra/Arlanza 2007 Unprogrammed Tax-Exempt Account Number 9811279-440446 to the Gould and Gramercy Street Improvement Account Number 9837800-440446.
