Both the primary and secondary price margins are below the <br />current structure of $0.16 above the wholesale cost; therefore soliciting bids has had favorable <br />results due to current market conditions. The City Purchasing Manager has reviewed the bids <br />submitted and concurs with this recommendation. <br />Actual expenditure in the current year for motor fuel is estimated at $176,000. This is less than the <br />combined purchase order amounts requested because it is necessary to have a back-up in place. <br />FISCAL IMPACT: <br />The recommended pricing structure in these contracts represents as much as a 25% decrease <br />in price margins from existing fuel contracts.
