ÓÛÛÌ×ÒÙ ÜßÌÛæ éóïìóðç <br />×ÌÛÓ ÒÑòæ íð <br />1 <br />ORDINANCE NO. <br />2 <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE, CALIFORNIA, <br />AMENDING SECTION 20.15.010 OF THE RIVERSIDE <br />3 <br />MUNICIPAL CODE TO REDUCE THE NUMBER OF MEMBERS <br />ON THE CULTURAL HERITAGE BOARD FROM TEN TO NINE. <br />4 <br />5 <br />The City Council of the City of Riverside does ordain as follows: <br />6 <br />Section 1: Section 20.15.010 of the Riverside Municipal Code is hereby amended to read <br />7 <br />as follows: <br />8 <br />20.15.010 CREATED – MEMBERSHIP. <br />9 <br />Pursuant to the provisions of Article VII of the City Charter, there is created a Cultural <br />10 <br />Heritage Board. The Board will be composed of nine members appointed by the Mayor and the <br />11 <br />City Council. Members of the Board shall be se lected and appointed as provided in the Charter <br />12 <br />and shall have the duties and functions set forth in this title. <br />13 <br />A. All members must have a prior demonstrated interest, competence or knowledge of <br />14 <br />historic preservation. <br />15 <br />B. No less than two members are encouraged to be appointed from among professionals <br />16 <br />in the fields or disciplines of architecture, history, architectural history, planning, pre-historic and <br />17 <br />historic archaeology, folklore, cultural anthropology, curation, conservation, and landscape <br />18 <br />architecture, or related disciplines, such as urban planning, American studies, American <br />19 <br />civilization or cultural geography, to the extent that such professionals are available in the <br />20 <br />community. <br />21 <br />C. The Board shall elect officers and estab lish its own rules and regulations which shall <br />22 <br />be consistent with the Charter and this Code. Copies of the Board's rules and regulations shall be <br />23 <br />kept on file in the Office of the City Clerk. Th e Board shall keep a record of its resolutions, <br />24 <br />proceedings and transactions, and the Planning De partment shall be the repository for all such <br />25 <br />records. The Planning Department shall prov ide the necessary staff and budget as approved by <br />26 <br />the City Council to administer the activities of the Board. <br />27 <br />28 <br />1 <br />íðóï <br />
